Student Honors, Awards, and Leadership

There are a number of ways that Weinberg students can distinguish themselves, including academic honors or participation in the college's student board. Learn more about these opportunities.

Student Honors

Academic honors are awarded to students who do distinguished academic work. Both college and departmental honors are available.

College Honors

College honors include the Dean's List, which is awarded for completing the term with a high GPA. Upon graduation, students with sufficiently high cumulative GPAs can graduate with Latin Honors.

College Awards

Each year Weinberg College awards several prizes and honors to outstanding students. These include:

  • Oliver Marcy Scholars
  • James Alton James Scholars
  • Daniel Bonbright Scholars
  • First-Year Seminar Writing Awards
  • Frank N. & Lee L. Corbin Prize

Student Advisory Board

The Weinberg College Student Advisory Board (SAB) is the primary source of student advice to the Dean of the College and the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies. It includes departmental representatives, and it elects executive officers.
